Most planners come with blank pages within the sheets - typically, in the back of the planner.
For some, it's needed and utilized in the best way imaginable. For others, including myself, those sheets can be daunting and stressful. I often find myself wanting to use them but not knowing what to do with them. And, then I find myself down a rabbit hole of pushing myself to do something with them, creating something I like and then never using it again.
Does this sound like you, too?
Below are some of my favorite ways of using those blank pages in my planners that I can stick with.
Idea #1 - Vision Board / Mood Boards
One of my absolute favorite things to do is create Vision and/or Mood Boards. I search for pictures or find them printed out in magazines and books - things I'd like to be, or focus on, or words that I associate with my dreams and goals.
The difference between a Vision Board and a Mood Board (in my opinion):
The way I describe a Vision Board is that it highlights what I want my future to look like - either 3 months, 6 months or a year down the line. Whatever timeline I set for myself. I will focus on items like: working out more, buying a house, getting married.
But, a Mood Board, in my opinion, showcases a vibe that you want to carry into that timeline. My current planner has a Mood Board that caters to images of studying, powerful women, pink and gold - the feeling that I want to get from the year is what I focus on. That Queen energy and the feeling of achieving my goals.
Idea #2 - Trackers
Trackers are such a great way to hold all the information in one place! The good thing about trackers are - you can do whatever you want with it. It can be a simple list with numbers, doodles and sketches, anything you like.
Some of my favorite things to track are:
Weight Loss & Rewards
Habits
Steps
Moments of Anxiety
Moods
Sleeping Schedule
Studying Schedule
Books
Movies & TV Shows
Idea #3 - Lists
Lists are a little different - these are items that I want to keep note of but I don't necessarily track on a set schedule. They just are, if anything else.
Some of my favorite things to keep lists of are:
Packing items for trips
Things I want to accomplish in that timeline
Items I would love to own
Places to Visit
Weird dreams I had
Things I want to do
Things that I should do when I'm sad
Good memories
The list (haha) really does go on and on. The possibilities really are endless.
Idea #4 - Notes and Reminders
The last idea is very free flowing. There's no direction to it at all. I like to add sheets of notes and reminders - things to keep pushing myself.
This can come in the form of doodles, a brain map, boxes - anything that just fills your page up with thoughts to tell yourself how amazing you are, or remind yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to. This is really built for you in every way and whatever you need to meet those goals and dreams you have for yourself!
What are your favorite ways?
I'd love to hear how you use those pages! Tell me in the comments or DM me on my instagram!
